Description
USN-5767-1 fixed vulnerabilities in Python. This update fixes the problem for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Original advisory details: Nicky Mouha discovered that Python incorrectly handled certain SHA-3 internals. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a crash or execute arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-37454) Update Instructions: Run `sudo pro fix USN-5767-3` to fix the vulnerability. Mitigation
Users of affected products are strongly encouraged to follow the mitigations below.
The Cloud Foundry project recommends upgrading the following releases:
- Bionic Stemcells
- Upgrade 1.x versions to 1.181 or greater
- All other stemcells should be upgraded to the latest version available on bosh.io.
- cflinuxfs3
- Upgrade all versions to 0.355.0 or greater
- CF Deployment
- Upgrade all versions to 27.0.0 or greater and upgrade Bionic Stemcells to 1.181 or greater
