Description

It was discovered that systemd incorrectly handled certain DNS requests, which leads to user-after-free vulnerability. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a crash or execute arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-2526) Update Instructions: Run `sudo ua fix USN-5583-1` to fix the vulnerability. Mitigation

Users of affected products are strongly encouraged to follow the mitigations below. The Cloud Foundry project recommends upgrading the following releases:

• Bionic Stemcells
  • Upgrade 1.x versions to 1.107 or greater
  • All other stemcells should be upgraded to the latest version available on bosh.io.
• cflinuxfs3
  • Upgrade all versions to 0.323.0 or greater
• CF Deployment
  • Upgrade all versions to 21.11.0 or greater and upgrade Bionic Stemcells to 1.107 or greater
