Our Cloud Foundry community is an extensive community comprised of thousands of phenomenal individuals whose efforts and contributions enrich the community every day.
Starting at Cloud Foundry Summit Boston in April 2018, the Cloud Foundry Foundation will present community awards to recognize, celebrate and appreciate the valued contributions from our community members.
Here is how the awards selection will work:
- Send us your nominations by March 18, 2018 at 11:59 PM PST.
- We collect and present the nominations to the community for voting.
- Voting will begin on March 21! Vote for the community champions.
- Winners will be announced on April 20 in Boston at Summit.
The two categories for which we are seeking nominations are:
1. Cloud Foundry Champion: Please nominate a community member that is an active advocate of the Cloud Foundry technology. Their advocacy can be in the form of evangelism across Cloud Foundry and other open source communities, championing Cloud Foundry at industry/technology/local conferences, and inspiring current or new community members for increased engagement.
What are the criteria?
- Participation via technical and/or non-technical contributions in the last twelve months including but not limited to:
- Evangelizing Cloud Foundry at industry events and tech conferences
- Advocating Cloud Foundry across other open source communities
- Encouraging, advocating, and/or driving collaboration and interoperability with other technologies resulting in a positive impact to end users (open source or closed course)
- Inspiring other community members to increase engagement
- Helping new community members get involved
How are nominations sought?
Please send your nominations by filling out this form by March 18th. We will compile the top twelve nominees and share them with you for voting, which opens March 21st.
Who makes the final decision?
You do! Community votes make the decision.
What happens if there is a tie?
The award will be shared.
2. Most Valued Contributor: This award is for the most valued contributor to Cloud Foundry technical projects. This award recognizes the top technical code, project leadership, documentation or other project contributions that have a significant impact on the technological advancement of Cloud Foundry. The individual may have contributed to any number of CFF projects.
What are the criteria?
This individual has contributed in a material way to one or more CFF projects, including but not limited to:

- Code
- Documentation
- Project leadership
- Use case development
- The award does NOT require that the contributor have any formal CFF project role (lead or committer).

You nominate them!
