Tier 3 Founder Jared Wray brings strong technical skills & expertise to Foundation
SAN FRANCISCO, June 22, 2016 – Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of the industry-standard multi-cloud platform, today announced Jared Wray will join the Foundation as the first Technical Fellow as part of its recently launched Fellowship program. The program is designed to solicit select expertise from members and the community at large to help accelerate adoption of Cloud Foundry. Wray founded Tier 3, a Seattle-based infrastructure as a service (IaaS) platform and advanced cloud management company acquired by CenturyLink in 2013.
The Cloud Foundry Foundation Fellowship program draws from the Foundation community to contribute focused resources for a period of time to work on targeted initiatives. The program will strengthen membership value and engagement for and within the Cloud Foundry community.
“Jared is an exceptionally well-known member of the Cloud Foundry community, having founded Tier 3. At CenturyLink, they offer AppFog, which is Cloud Foundry certified and was developed prior to Jared leaving,” said Chip Childers, VP of Technology for Cloud Foundry Foundation. “Jared’s experience will be invaluable as he’ll be focused on pushing some technical projects forward intended to organically grow the developer ecosystem around Cloud Foundry.”
